Lead the Disruption is all about accelerating the learning curve. Achieving a Professional qualification, University degree or apprenticeship is fantastic, but this is just the beginning. Lead the Disruption provides a platform to learn quicker, learn better, so you can fail faster and exceed your potential.
This realisation that executives read, borne the idea behind Lead the Disruption. We wanted to create a platform that encourages people to read and increase awareness of the benefits of reading business and self-development books, so we created a platform to provide unlimited learning, through high quality business and self-development books.
Why are you called “Lead the Disruption”?
We want our customers to gain the knowledge and skills required to disrupt industries and business models. We want them to be disrupting the status quo, finding better ways to do existing things and finding ways to do new things. We want our customers to be at the forefront of their fields and leading the change. We want them to be Leading the Disruption.
What’s the concept?
The idea is simple. You subscribe for a low-cost monthly fee which entitles you to a physical copy of any business or self-development book you wish.
To order a book, log onto our website, select the books you want to read, and we will dispatch them within 24hours, (hopefully sooner than this). You keep the books for as long as you like, and then you return them to us, by posting them in the post-box using the prepaid envelope we sent you. If you want a book that isn’t on the, simply send us a message and we will source the book for you, (subject to our terms and conditions).
Lead the Disruption is a ‘modern day library’ with the convenience of everything being sent to you, with the customer at the heart of what we do.
Why read business books?
For a whole load of reasons! We have actually written another story on the benefits of reading business books which you can find here.
Why have you come up with the idea?
We have done our research and can’t find anything similar. We want to do for books what Netflix has done for film and TV industry. We wanted to create Lead the Disruption, as a platform to make it easy, cheap, accessible and convenient for everybody to read and better themselves. Netflix is easy, Instagram is easy, Lead the Disruption is easy. The only difference is, Lead the Disruption gives you the opportunity to grow, learn things and develop into something that exceeds your potential.
Why do you think there is a demand for it?
Books, and in particular business books, contain an unlimited amount of knowledge. Whether you are a CEO, in the middle of your career or just starting out, there is something for you. We feel business books are massively under-appreciated and it is almost a secret how much of a weapon they can become – see our story on the benefits of business books, here.
So yes – there is a huge opportunity in this sector, and through Lead the Disruption we hope to raise the profile of these hidden gems.
Are you operating in a niche market?
Possibly at the moment. But we shouldn’t be. Reading to increase your personal development is not something that should be done by the few. This should be something we all do as part of our everyday life – read to improve ourselves.
What are you doing for sustainability?
Anything and everything we can. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Everything we use is sustainable, recyclable and in most cases, re-useable. In addition to this, we are also committing to plant a tree for every customer order we receive. For a more in-depth review of what we use to make decisions, please see our Sustainability section, here.
Fulfil your Potential
Whilst we have got a Netflix account and we do use it. It has become something that is just done. To us, it represents boredom. Wasted time. Yes, there is an element of winddown television in the evening, but life is short, and we don’t want to waste our time mind numbingly watching Netflix or scrolling through our phone, we want to do something that makes a difference.
Its human nature. Human nature is to strive for perfection, for things that aren’t done yet. To achieve the unachievable. You just need to watch the Olympics, how that captures the imagination of the world. People chase after their dreams. This type of excellence doesn’t come from killing time on the XBOX or the PlayStation, this comes from constant development, small improvements everywhere, repeated.
This is what Lead the Disruption wants to achieve. We want to support you in your development so you can achieve your dreams.
